A funny, musical, colorful, and 100% festive show! The British Troubadours of Limoux who share the magic of traditional British pantomime: laughter, songs, surprises… A joyful and accessible experience for the whole family!
The show is in English but with French subtitles, so everyone can fully enjoy the story.
2024
Sleeping Beauty
A princess sleeps, a kingdom holds its breath, and chaos reigns in this gloriously magical tale of true love’s kiss! Will our brave prince rescue the day, or will the wicked fairy’s curse prove too powerful? The spellbinding spectacle that only Les Troubadours Britanniques de Limoux can deliver – complete with dazzling costumes, hilarious antics, and a whole lot of audience magic!
2023
Puss in Boots
The traditional fairy tale of Puss in Boots re-located to an imaginary Island somewhere in the Pacific. Puss attempted to sort things out and help his young master win the girl of his dreams whilst all the while making sure he had enough time for a cat nap.
2021
Beauty and the Beast
This highly original production had Victorian England as its setting along with a fully operating circus (sort of). The splendid costumes, music, lighting and sound along with the splendiferous acting and singing from our ever enthusiastic cast ensured that our audience were highly entertained.
2019
King Arthur
An (almost) faithful re-telling of the famous legend of King Arthur. Audiences were introduced to the family of Hobnobs and the most handsome knight in the realm among other ‘goodies’ and ‘baddies’.
2018
Robin Hood
This was the first year that the group introduced supertitles to ensure that the whole spectacle could be enjoyed by our ever expanding French audience. A flying squirrel, hilarious soldiers, an evil Sheriff, the return of the King on horse-back and not forgetting the Dame being mistaken as Maid Marian left the audience in stiches.
2017
Treasure Island
Troubadours set sail on the high seas with “Treasure Island.” The stage transformed into a ship and an island, and this rendition of the well-known tale kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Swashbuckling sword fights, the traditional hornpipe dance and the heroism and skull-duggery ensured the audiences left everyone cheering for more.
2015
Aladdin
The troupe whisked the audience away to the Arabian Desert. Aladdin with the aid of his pet monkey and a magic lamp overcame adversity to win the hand of the princess, it was a magic mix of costumes, heroic and hilarious characters a-plenty that ensured a great evening’s entertainment for the whole family.
2013
Mother Goose
Where it all began. It was a first in many ways : a first for the group; a first for many of those who took part, a first for the venue (who were in truth a bit shocked having never seen a British style pantomime before) and the first opportunity for the good people of Aude to experience this traditional way of heralding the start of Christmas festivities for themselves and their families.
